African Teak, Afromosia, or Afrormosia, is a species of legume in the Fabaceae family. It is found in Cameroon, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ivory Coast, Ghana, and Nigeria.

Grain is usually straight, though it can also be interlocked. With a fine uniform texture and good natural luster. Rated as very durable regarding decay resistance, and is also resistant to termites and other insects. Common uses - Boat building, veneer, flooring, and furniture.
